Acceptance of these terms
By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website.
Our purpose
This website provides information about the Foundation, its charitable mission, community activities and ways adults and organisations may volunteer, partner, contribute or make enquiries.
No professional advice
Website content is provided for general information only. It does not constitute legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such.
Contributions and commitments
Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract, confirm acceptance as a volunteer or partner, or guarantee that a proposed contribution can be accepted. Any donation, sponsorship or partnership may be subject to separate confirmation, conditions and appropriate due diligence.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, interfere with its operation, submit unlawful or misleading content, impersonate another person, or use the forms to transmit abusive, discriminatory or inappropriate material.
Children and safeguarding
The public forms are intended for adults. Do not submit confidential, sensitive or identifying information about a child unless you are authorised to do so and the Foundation has requested the information through an appropriate secure process.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Foundation owns the website's text, original branding and other materials or uses them with the copyright owner's permission, under an applicable licence or as otherwise permitted by law. Website content may not be copied, altered, republished, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission from the applicable rights holder, except as permitted by law.
Photographs, recordings and consent
Community photographs and recordings are used to document the Foundation's work, communicate charitable impact and support future programmes. Individuals who provide photographs to the Foundation confirm that they own the material or have authority to permit its use and that they have obtained any consent reasonably required from identifiable subjects. Permission from a parent or legal guardian should be obtained before providing or authorising publication of a close, identifiable image of a child.
The Foundation may give notice of planned photography or recording through event information, registration materials, entrance signage or announcements. Adult attendees should notify a Foundation representative if they do not wish to be photographed. After receiving clear notice, an adult who voluntarily poses for an announced individual or group photograph grants the Foundation permission to use that image for the charitable, reporting and promotional purposes described in the Privacy Notice, unless a different limitation is agreed. Merely attending an event does not create blanket permission for close or prominent use, and no such notice replaces the need for parental or legal-guardian authorisation concerning an identifiable child.
A person appearing in an image—or the parent or legal guardian of a child shown—may request review, correction, restriction or removal by contacting the Foundation and identifying the relevant material. The Foundation will consider each request promptly in accordance with safeguarding responsibilities, applicable permissions and Jamaican law.
Sponsor names, logos and illustrative imagery
Third-party names, logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed only with permission, for acknowledgement, or for factual identification. Their appearance does not imply an endorsement beyond any relationship expressly described on the website. Some general banner or illustrative images may be digitally created and are used to represent themes or activities; they should not be interpreted as documentary photographs of a specific Foundation event or identifiable person.
External links and availability
Links to third-party services are provided for convenience. The Foundation does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, security or content. We may update, suspend or withdraw website features without notice.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Foundation is not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general website information, temporary unavailability, third-party services or unauthorised misuse of the website.
Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information provided through the website and communications is handled.
Changes and governing law
We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
